Cynthia Hernandez

Cynthia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston. Her clinical career started with an interest in ethically supporting people through the varied complexities of mental health existing within our complex social and societal landscapes. She works with purpose, utilizing her clinical expertise to support human flourishing and well-being through evidence-based practices. She has spent the last 10 years working at family-centered agencies.

Cynthia is excited to support individuals and families who play vital roles in the assisted reproduction journey and hopeful intended parents. She was drawn to Thallo Health as a means of supporting the positive nature of family-building, as much of her work focuses on helping families where there is a victim of crime. Cynthia finds the field of fertility to be rewarding and inspiring. She has substantial experience working with a variety of backgrounds and familial structures, which makes her sensitive and well-versed to diverse populations navigating the field of fertility. Her extensive experience with trauma lends itself to supporting families whose journey has involved significant loss and overwhelming trauma. She feels honored to provide support and clinical expertise in the field of fertility. Cynthia is bilingual and is able to provide services in both Spanish and English. 

She has continued her professional growth in the field of infertility through research and involvement as a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM Mental Health Professional Group, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy.
