Janet Mann
Janet is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working in the field of mental health for over 15 years. She received her Master in Social Work from State University of NY at Stony Brook. Janet has worked with adults in an outpatient mental health clinic, as well as with adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. With therapeutic approaches grounded in evidence-based practice, combined with a personality that is down-to-earth, direct, and compassionate, she is able to help individuals achieve their life goals, improve their relationships, and manage their challenges and stressors. Using a strength perspective, she works to help individuals feel more resilient and be able to navigate life’s constant changes.
Janet is thrilled to be involved in the process related to third-party reproduction, and to have an integral role in helping individuals and couples create their own families in whatever way they can. She was drawn to Thallo Health due to her passion for intake assessments, psychological evaluations, and clinical interviews. She is excited to support those who will be embarking on this journey as well as those who are helping to make the journey possible for them.
She has continued her professional growth in the field of infertility through research and involvement as a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM Mental Health Professional Group, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy.
Janet is also trained in bariatric assessments and offers comprehensive evaluations that address the psychological, emotional, and social factors affecting a patient’s weight loss journey. Her compassionate approach fosters a supportive environment to help clients navigate the challenges of bariatric surgery.
