Leilah Lewin
Leilah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and a Master's Degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. Leilah has 25 years of experience in the helping profession. She worked in a hospital for 21 years helping women, children, and families cope with the challenges of labor, birth, loss, chronic illness, and adjusting to new diagnoses, with an emphasis on Perinatal Mental Health. Leilah has also worked with individuals, couples, and families in her private psychotherapy practice for the last 20 years.
Through her work both in the hospital setting and in private practice, Leilah has extensive knowledge about the infertility journey and the many ways of building a family. Leilah is passionate about working with people and helping them reach their goals while using empathy, support, and compassion. Her non-judgmental approach allows for collaboration with the client.
Leilah was called to work for Thallo Health, as she saw it as an opportunity to continue her work in helping others and utilize her knowledge of perinatal mental health and extensive experience providing intake assessments, psychological evaluations, and diagnostic services in an inpatient medical setting, As an expert in her field, Leilah’s education, training, and experience with perinatal mental health and family building has made her an outstanding member of the Thallo Health team.
Leilah is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is on the mental health directories for Postpartum Support International and Maternal Mental Health Now. She has continued her professional growth in the field of infertility through research and involvement as a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM Mental Health Professional Group, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy.
